Who We Are

At Future Horizons, we provide a unique residential and supported home for children and young people. Our person-centred, therapeutic approach is led by experienced practitioners trained in trauma-informed care. What truly sets us apart is our mentorship and early intervention programmes. They’re led by mentors with first-hand experience of the care system, giving young people relatable support at the earliest point. As a new provider, we’re passionately committed to shaping brighter futures. We create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every young person feels valued, supported, and empowered to take control of their own story.

Our Vision

Every child deserves a place to heal. We create safe, nurturing homes where young people who have faced trauma can rebuild their confidence, find hope, and grow into happy, capable adults

How We Work

We believe in every young person’s potential to grow. Our home is built on unconditional positive regard, meeting each person with understanding, not judgement. Because we know everyone is doing their best in their circumstances, this value runs through all our support and staff training.

Lasting Impact

Our mission is to create real, lasting change in the lives of every child and young person. We provide a positive, enriching experience built on dedication, compassion, and a commitment to their well-being and development.

Our Team

Our success is built upon the dedication, expertise, compassion and professionalism of all our support staff, team members and volunteers.

Our support staff and Senior Staff have trained in line with:

PACE Therapeutic Parenting Model, which focuses on creating secure attachments with young people who have undergone adverse childhood experiences.

NVR (Non-Violent Resistance training), a framework to de-escalate controlling, coercive, harmful behaviour from young people in times of emotional distress.

DDP, CBT, Person Centre and trauma informed therapeutic Models of therapy

From qualified psychotherapists and support staff to experienced volunteers, each member of our team brings a unique blend of skills, knowledge, and dedication to their work. Together we work tirelessly to ensure every young person receives the highest quality of care and support.

Our Core Values

1. Person-Centred Care

Every child and young person is seen as an individual. We shape our support around their strengths, needs, and goals, because care should fit the person, not the other way around.

2. Compassion & Respect

We lead with unconditional positive regard. Every young person is met with dignity, empathy, and respect, regardless of their background or experiences.

3. Safety & Trust

We create environments where young people feel physically and emotionally secure. Trust is built through consistency, clear boundaries, and trauma-informed practice.

4. Empowerment & Growth

We believe in potential. Through therapeutic support, life skills, and mentorship, we help young people build confidence and take control of their own story.

5. Lived Experience & Understanding

Our mentorship and early intervention programmes are led by people who’ve been through the care system. That shared understanding helps young people feel heard, valued, and less alone.

6. Inclusion & Collaboration

We work closely with families, schools, and professionals to create a consistent network of support. When we work together, young people thrive.

Our Services

Every child and young person we support is unique. That’s why our care is personalised and compassionate, shaped around their emotional, educational, and developmental needs. We combine therapeutic guidance, life skills, and family support to help young people grow in resilience and confidence. Our promise is simple: high-quality care that empowers each person to thrive and achieve their potential.
